A Testimonial from the Training

What I have learned from the [12 Letters on Huna] course… (A partial list)

I have learned so much from Huna, I can only hope that this list will give you an idea of how much I have gotten out of the course:

1. A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF ENERGY

Before Huna: What I knew about Energy was very basic. Energy was something I sensed on a subconscious/conscious level. Energy was everywhere and in everything. It could cause one to be ill if it were low, blocked if excessive.

After Huna: Mana can be drawn to you from everywhere, at any time and from different times. It knows no boundaries and is neutral, not good or bad. It can be used to create. Holding on to negative emotions requires Mana, and hence, will bind useful Mana. To release this bound Mana requires that you let go, or work through the negative emotion that is binding it. Positive emotions on the other hand, expands, releases and raises Mana.

PERSONAL EXPERIENCE: With the desire to forgive and to be forgiven, I have been going over personal experiences and re-evaluating them. One such experience happened 30 years ago in which a friend came by for a visit - I thought he had come by to meet my husband and see my new baby but instead angry words were spoken and for the following 30 years my image of him was with an angry face saying those angry words.

In revisiting this experience, I replayed the full memory in my mind, and to my total shock, the whole scene took on a vastly different meaning as I began to witness “True Communication”! While he was digging into me with his ugly words, his Higher Self was standing on his right, and as I heard the hurtful words and saw the nasty expression on his face, I also sensed warmth, love and sincerity coming from his Higher Self as it, showered me with blessings, wishing me the best of everything with a sincerity I had never experienced. At that very moment, I forgave him and the Mana my anger had tied up was totally released. You can only imagine how wonderful I felt!

This was a very powerful experience that I will never forget as it showed mes what TRUE COMMUNICATION is really like.

2. IMPROVED PROBLEM SOLVING AND COPING SKILLS

Before Huna: I sorted through and coped with problems like most people do.

After Huna: Applying Huna principles have greatly facilitated the resolution of problems, especially those involving personal relationships.

PERSONAL EXPERIENCE: My daughter (who was also taking the Huna course) was going through a painful experience involving a personal relationship. Instead of jumping right in and helping her sort through the problem, I waited a couple of days as I wanted to give her a chance to use the Huna principles she learned and apply them to her life. When we finally sat down to discuss it, she was able to get a different perspective of the problem using Huna principles. She was able to go beyond the problem and learn from it: the problem was now seen as a gift.

She was also able to see how her “Three Selves” took part in the development, process and resolution of the problem.

3. IMPROVED PARENT-CHILD RELATIONSHIP

Before Huna: I would accurately describe my mothering as overprotective and overinvolved.

After Huna: The ability to see the proverbial “Light at the end of the tunnel”. Having lost one child, I thought I would never be able to cease worrying about my other children. Now I can see that there is hope for me, the more I understand Huna principles, the more I am able to step back and let “life happen” for my children.

PERSONAL EXPERIENCE: My oldest daughter and I have had a long standing issue that has caused a great amount of pain for both of us. In our last argument over it I experienced a revelation: I realized that I am no longer a parent to her basic self (that ceased when her Middle Self’s reasoning abilities became more fully developed.)

The issue concerned a fear her Basic Self is holding on to and I realized in was not my place to sort through her fear. It was her Parent Selves that had to help her sort through her Basic Self’s fear. It will be a learning experience in which she must learn and gain the trust of her Basic Self.

I can support her but must be careful not to mistake support for interference as it could drastically prevent her growth. This was a learning experience for me too, as it is always hard to just sit back!

4. A MORE THOROUGH UNDERSTANDING OF MYSELF

Before Huna: I feel that I knew myself as much as anybody else, however there seemed to be missing pieces in my self-understanding.

After Huna: Huna has helped provide many of those missing pieces.

FOR EXAMPLE: The Basic Huna concept of the THREE SELVES, their functions and the goal of having them working in harmony has given me tremendous insight. The phrase “TO THINE OWN SELF BE TRUE” now has a deeper meaning. I always thought this meant to be honest with yourself, but now it also means that I must develop a trusting relationship between my three selves so they can work together harmoniously and provide me a fuller life. “KNOW THYSELF” also has taken a deeper meaning: To know my three selves and their functions, strengths and weaknesses.

PERSONAL EXPERIENCE: As a child I was taught that the devil was behind my “naughty actions”. As I got older and began to have a better understanding of spirituality I learned that the ego was behind my “naughty” actions. I always in a constant battle, first to conquer the devil and then the ego.

Destroying the ego always made me feel uncomfortable. Now I understand that the ego is my Basic Self. It shouldn’t be destroyed, rather it must be embraced. All that inner work on trying to overcome the devil and then the ego was energy misdirected. The battle is no longer necessary and there is now a deep sense ofpeace. I can once again feel the love I’ve always had for my ego, aka Basic Self. WONDERFUL!!

Again, thank you.
